Towns & Surrounds: On the southern shores of Jervis Bay where the dolphins play in the sheltered waters, you'll find Hyams Beach, reputed to have the whitest sand in the world. At Huskisson you can visit the Lady Denman Maritime Museum and just outside berry, drop into the Coolangatta Winery. Nowra is the areas major town and here you can visit the two-storey exhibition centre of Fleet Air Arm Museum.
Climate: The area enjoys a coastal temperate climate with average summer temperatures being a high of 25.8C to a minimum of 16C while winter averages a high of 15.8C and a low of 6.2C.
Good Idea: Make sure you have time to visit the charming townships of Berry, Kangaroo Valley and Milton as they all offer a glimpse of a more gentle, by-gone era and have great art and craft shops, antique and art galleries and cafes and restaurants.
Couples will love: Visiting the historic property of Bundanon, gifted to the nation by Arthur and Yvonne Boyd (open every Sunday). The Berry Markets held on the first Sunday of every month. Kayaking through the pristine wilderness of Kangaroo Valley or a picnic by the Kangaroo River. Fresh seafood straight from the trawlers at Ulladulla harbour.
