Skiing for all levels ...

Fernie is located in the Kootenay Rockies Region (a 60 minute drive from Cranbrook airport, or a three-hour-drive from Calgary). It’s Canada’s fastest growing four-season resort …. and the powder snow capital of the world. It boasts challenging terrain for unequalled extreme skiing along with an abundance of soft cruising runs for the intermediates and beginners.

Within the resort’s 1,013 hectares are five enormous bowls, glades, cliffs and cruising runs certain to satisfy every level of snow enthusiast. The annual average snowfall is around 8.75m (29ft) . Fernie’s awesome powder snow blankets 107 designated trails. Ten modern lifts carry passengers up into the higher areas, to a peak-height of 1,925m (6,316ft).

A three-day or more Multi-day pass allows you to ski at Fernie and also nearby Kimberley Alpine Resort, a Bavarian-styled resort town on a mountain crammed with ski runs.

Fernie's Adult Snow School has plenty of learn-to-ski, ski improvement and snowboarding programs aimed at ensuring skiers and snowboarders of all abilities can enjoy themselves while pushing towards that next level.
