Hosts Jon and Shirley Warring received the Supreme Heritage Award in recognition of their restoration of a city icon and, in 2008 qualified for the Qualmark Enviro-silver logo marking their contribution to the community, conservation and the environment. They welcome you to not only enjoy the ambience and luxury of a gracious age, but also to their friendly, flexible approach to hosting B&B accommodation. Hadleigh's large garden is a quiet retreat, just a short walk from the city centre.
Hadleigh is of the Arts & Crafts genre native timbers and stained glass creates an ambience that is warm and relaxing. Spacious suites provide traditional elegant surroundings. Flowers, home baking and evening cocktails introduce both detail and friendship that makes staying pleasurable. Guests are welcome throughout; there is a billiard room, library and even classic / racing Porsches to interest the motoring enthusiast.
As 5th generation New Zealanders, the kiwi 'can do' attitude led Jon to an Engineering degree which later chanelled into developing and racing performance enhanced 911 Porsches. Shirley's teaching route manifested to the corporate world and directorship of an International Research Company. Both travelled extensively and enjoy sharing experiences including aspects of NZ life with guests.
