Reefsleep, 51 natuical miles from the coast, is a truly memorable way to spend a couple of days experiencing the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef.
Settle in after all the day trippers have gone home and feel your body relax and the stress of the world fall-away. Sit on the top deck, watch the sun setting over the turquoise waters and listen to the sounds of the Reef at night; sleep under the stars and wake to the magnificent sunrise and the quiet stillness of early morning. Watch the changing tides and colours of the water, observe fish activity at night in the underwater viewing chamber or organise an early morning scuba dive and explore the 30-metre wall at Hardy Reef.
Reefsleep is Fantasea’s ultimate Great Barrier Reef offering. It includes two days and one night at Reefworld including Fantasea transfers. The maximum number of guests on any night is six and sometimes it can be as few as two as well as your personal Fantasea host. Your designated Reef Host looks after your every need – preparing cocktails and cheese platter at sunset, a simple alfresco dinner and fruit, pastries and a full breakfast the next morning. Each day also includes a buffet lunch and morning and afternoon tea.
Reefsleep has won numerous Tourism Whitsunday and Tourism Queensland awards in the ‘unique accommodation’ categories. Although similar to spending a night on a yacht, it is actually calmer as the pontoon is securely moored and there is plenty of room to move around. Cabins are spacious with adjoining bathrooms – there’s a king size room for a romantic interlude or a 4-birth cabin for family or friends to enjoy.
