We were with our family (9 people; including an 8 month old baby). We got together to celebrate Chinese New Year and my parents' 33rd wedding anniversary. I, an Event Planning Consultant of Our Sweet Events had spent 1.5 days arranging the ceremony and the reception for my parents. Then, in the down times we just enjoyed the spa, the pool and the sightseeing to experience the culture, just like honeymooners should!

Why did you choose this destination?
My family have been to Bali for more than three times. They wanted to show my husband and I the peaceful side of Bali Island.

Why did you choose this accommodation?
This was the third time for my family to stay at Melia Bali Villas & Spa Resort. They have this wonderful 2009 honeymoon package, we had a honeymoon cake, fresh fruit on arrival in our room as well as the discount vouchers to be used in the hotel to save us more money.

What was your 'Honeymoon Highlight'?
We had arranged this romantic beach dinner under a decorative white tent with our own bulter (Victor) and the local musician was playing tranditional music the whole night while we enjoyed a nine course dinner! The next day, we had the most wonderful couples spa and rose aroma bath. Then, after the spa we had a photoshoot, I was in a traditional Balinese wedding gown. The last day, we hired a taxi, where we went sightseeing to Ubud and visited the palace.

Golden beaches, ocean waters, tropical sunsets, lush, jungle vegetation, steep terrace s… so many new sensations to enjoy! Take guided and unguided treks through the jungle, rice terraces and temples. Climb or bike volcanic slopes. Try scuba diving and snorkelling in crystal clear waters, Jet ski, go dolphin watching or play golf - so much to do!
