The first Stateside venture by Brit hoteliers Tim and Kit Kemp, the über-cool Crosby Street Hotel has delivered hip British style to downtown New York. Celebrated for their kitsch-meets-classic boutique hotels in London (including the Covent Garden Hotel, Charlotte Street and Haymarket), the Kemps’ signature style is an elegant blend of bold colours, sumptuous fabrics, antiques and bespoke contemporary furniture. The hotel is a Mecca for fashionistas, socialites and celebs, who flock to the oh-so-cool communal areas, such as The Crosby Bar (where you can get anything from a late night martini to the quintessential English afternoon tea) and the Drawing Room, a lush room in scarlet with fireplace and honour bar.
