Gourmet Weekends - Mollymook, New South Wales

> > by Tricia Welsh

Book a luxury suite or Jacuzzi deck room overlooking Narrawallee Beach at Bannisters Point Lodge and be sure to pre-book a spa treatment for pampering during your stay and a table for two at celebrity seafood chef Rick Stein’s eponymous restaurant, Rick Stein at Bannisters.
Since the UK-born chef has taken over the kitchens at Bannisters, the lovely seaside retreat 220 kms south of Sydney has built an enviable reputation for its pampering weekends and long Sunday lunches. Although only a hamlet, leafy Mollymook is supported as a gourmet region by cracking little restaurants such as the Tipsy Fig in Milton and The Vineyard Kitchen at Cupitt’s Winery (both perfect for lunch) and Millard and the Stone Grill in Ulladulla. Fill fresh baguettes from Jasper Peel Breads with cooked prawns from Lucky’s Seafood at Ulladulla or hire fishing gear, stroll the beach and try your luck fishing for snapper, salmon, drummer or flathead from the beach in front of Bannisters lodge.
