Things to see and do ...
Stargaze: Koolang Observatory and Space Science Display Centre. Located in Bucketty, on the border of Yengo National Park – one hour from Gosford. Open day and night and home to one of the largest public access telescopes in Australia.
Have a good cheap meal: Fish and chips on the beach. Always a favourite and the views are bound to be entertaining.
Enjoy a romantic, memorable dinner: On a Hardy’s Bay yacht charter. Sail away into the sunset with a drink in hand, then the skipper will leave you to enjoy a succulent seafood platter and a romantic night anchored in one of the many beautiful bays. Sleep on the yacht sipping champagne under the stars, listening to the water lap all around you. Then the skipper returns to cook you a hearty breakfast and bring you back to the wharf.
Indulge with a long, leisurely picnic: At Crackneck Lookout, in Wyrrabalong National Park. This is the best place to spot whales during migration season.
